  • A fantastic term of Sport - As a busy term of Sport comes to an end, we’d like to celebrate a few recent highlights.

  • All aboard - The House once again came to life on Tuesday afternoon when we welcomed our wonderful boarders and their families to Wenona Boarding.
  • Breakfast for alumnae and daughters - It takes more than a spot of rain to scare off our alumnae, particularly when it comes to having breakfast with their daughters!
  • Cadets Ceremonial Parade and Dinner - For the first time since the Shore unit was established in 1908, the annual Ceremonial Parade was led by two female Cadets from Wenona.
  • Celebrities head to Debating Camp - All manner of celebrities turned up at Wenona’s Debating Camp, including Posh and Becks and President Putin!
  • Everyone belongs: Happy Harmony Day! - This week, Wenona was a riot of colourful national costumes, as we celebrated the rich diversity of our community for Harmony Day.
  • Hats off to Easter at Wenona - With the countdown to Easter on, Wenona has been finding ways to celebrate this special time of year.
  • Spirits high at Cross Country - On Wednesday, the Junior School Cross Country Carnival went ahead at St Leonards Park in slightly wet conditions.

  • The joys of French Exchange - From visiting the Eiffel Tower and Le Mont-Saint Michel to attending French schools, our students loved their French exchange experiences.
  • Tilly helps Woodstock to ‘cotton on’ - Boarder Tilly (Year 9) generously shared her knowledge of cotton growing with Year 3 this week, prompting lots of questions!
  • Twelfth Night and Macbeth - On Tuesday evening, it was all about the Bard, with Year 11 Drama students performing scenes from two of his most compelling plays.
  • Visiting Modern Art Masters - Our Year 11 Visual Arts students were bowled over by works from CĂ©zanne, Matisse and Picasso at the Art Gallery of NSW recently.
  • Welcome Cocktail Party highlights - Wenona vibrated with jazz music, laughter and lively conversation at the annual Welcome Cocktail Party last Friday.
  • Welcome to the Genre CafĂ© - This term, girls in Years 3 to 6 have dined at a cafĂ© with a difference: the Genre CafĂ©!
  • Wenona Music Tour USA - During the December holidays, 31 excited Wenona students headed off to North America on Wenona’s inaugural Music Tour.
  • Wenona welcomes the Year of the Pig - It’s the Year of the Pig, which is just one of the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac. To mark the occasion, Wenona celebrated with lanterns, calligraphy and dumplings.
  • Wenona’s taste of Law and Order - For our Year 11 Legal Studies students, a trip to the Downing Centre Law Courts was a real eye opener.
  • Year 10 conquer the Snowies - Last week, Year 10 headed off to Jindabyne for a week of leadership and “off the grid” adventure. And Dr Scott and Mr Staker tagged along too.
  • Year 11 head off on an Academic Tour - The Year 11 Academic Tour is a unique way to encourage students to embrace the many different tertiary opportunities that lie ahead.
  • Year 8 build Solar Racers - Our Year 8 Science classes have been learning about electrical circuits and energy sources by building the ‘Ultimate Solar Racer’.
