“In Week 5, Term 2, Year 8 had their annual camp. It took place over 5 days and was held at Berowra Waters, hosted by Southbound Adventures.

Arriving at 7am on Monday morning, many of us were apprehensive but excited about the week to come.

Year 8 camp has three levels: high, extreme, and super extreme, and everyone was able to select the level that they felt would challenge them.

The five days were split between naturally stunning hikes, canoe trips and activities including an adrenaline pumping flying fox, rock-climbing, a reflection on our year group, rogaining (the sport of long distance cross-country navigation, in which teams of two to five people visit as many checkpoints as they wish in a set time period) and high ropes.

It was a very enjoyable experience, and strong new friendships were created.
