Outdoor adventure at Year 6 Camp
Last week Year 6 went to Tallong Campus, which is a two-hour drive from Sydney, for an outdoor education camp. We all thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor activities and the catering.
The food was delicious and catered for everyone. All the aspects of the camp were amazing and suitable for our age group.
Some of the activities that we participated in included low ropes courses, bush walks, flying fox, mountain biking, team-building exercises and camping.
The camping experience was great for all girls. We learned how to cook in Trangias (portable stoves), set up tents and dig our own outdoor toilets!
We also had to endure a long hike in extreme heat, which was a challenge for all of us.
We only camped out for one night and on the second night we had a ‘sing down’ competition for entertainment and then headed to our comfy accommodation for some well-needed sleep.
We all thoroughly enjoyed Year 6 camp. We cannot wait for our next exciting outdoor education camp where we hope to have just as much fun.
