Child Psychology in action
Wenona’s Year 9 Psychology class are currently studying Child Psychology, and in particular the theories of Jean Piaget.
They designed their own activities to apply Piaget’s theories of cognitive development and then applied them to our Kindergarten girls this week.
And while Year 9 are not professional psychologists, they did enjoy the process and found it interesting to work ‘in the field’.
Year 9 girls said, about this collaboration:
“It was great to see the theories in action.â€
“It was good to see all the hard work we’d done in class come alive in actual humans.â€
“Everything we had read about in our text book was shown through this activity.â€
“It was nice to interact with different age groups and do something different.â€
“We enjoyed the interaction of this activity.â€
