Wenona Foundation Volunteer Thank You Breakfast
Honouring the hands that help build our community.
Over 60 dedicated volunteers joined us on Tuesday 29 October for a breakfast celebration hosted by the Wenona Foundation. It was a chance to celebrate the profound impact of volunteers in creating the vibrant, dynamic environment that defines Wenona.
“Our gratitude towards our volunteers is immense,” said Director of Advancement, Executive Director Wenona Foundation, Ms Marie Soghomonian. “We couldn’t be more appreciative of the time, effort, and resources they contribute to our activities, events, and programs. They enhance our School environment and enrich the students' academic and social experiences.”
Held in East Commons, the Breakfast carried particular significance as it provided an opportunity for the Wenona Parents' Association (WPA) to recognise Dr Briony Scott's transformative thirteen-and-a-half-year tenure as Wenona Principal.
In her speech, WPA President, Ms Sharmila Soorian, thanked Dr Scott on behalf of every WPA member and expressed the sense of privilege they feel in having contributed under her leadership and guidance. "Dr Scott is the WPA’s biggest supporter and volunteer,” Ms Soorian said. “While her departure from Wenona School is a sad occasion, her imprint is widespread and will be remembered for years to come.”
