Father and Daughter Dance
Our Year 6 students and their fathers came together for some fun and bonding at this much-loved Wenona Parents' Association event.
Bayside Orso at The Spit provided a beautiful backdrop for the Wenona Parents' Association Father and Daughter Dance on Thursday 24 October.
The event attracted just over 90 of our enthusiastic fathers for a celebration of the special bond between daughters and their dads.
A highlight was a lively flash mob of fathers who delighted the crowd by showcasing their moves to a medley including Will Smith’s Men in Black, and Greased Lightnin’ from Grease, with one dad impressively ‘busting out’ the worm! It was a lively display of talent that boosted the fun and spirit of the event.
The evening was expertly hosted by our Year 6 MCs, Lucy and Madeleine, and speakers, Piper and Caitlyn. Piper shared valuable tips for navigating Senior School, drawing from her experience as the younger sister of older siblings, while Caitlyn reflected on her fond memories from the Junior School, adding a heartfelt touch to the festivities.
The always-popular photo booth offered students, dads, and staff a fun way to capture memorable moments throughout the evening.
Overall, it was a joyful celebration of community and connection, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
