Junior School Athletics Carnival
Last Thursday, Years 3 to 6 took part in the Junior School Athletics Carnival at Narrabeen Athletics Track.
According to the Junior School Sport Prefects, it was a wonderful day with everyone showing amazing House spirit and enthusiasm.
Zara said, “I think we all achieved something today, whether it be winning a race or just participating in something you have never done before.”
Tully said, “Some people dread the Athletics Carnival. However, I think that has changed this year.”
And Zara said, “I personally thought legends were hard to find and I still think that to this day. However, I think I’ve found some in the PDHPE/Sport departments.”
Assistant Head of Sport Mr Sam Bresnik said, “Girls from every age group should be congratulated for having a go at everything and simply trying to achieve their personal best. Whether it was in landing in the sand of the long jump pit, taking off after the gun on the 100m track or pushing a bean bag as far as possible in a novelty event all students never stopped trying. It was great to see so many smiling faces and active bodies throughout the day which was topped off by some fantastic house relays. Thank you to all teaching staff who assisted on the day.”
