2017 Term 1

  • Alumnae Back to School 2017 - We had the pleasure of welcoming back a group of Wenona alumnae who graduated over 60 years ago. They attended our Principal's Assembly, toured the school, enjoyed a morning tea and even participated in some of our Year 8 and 9 classes.
  • Ground Breaking Ceremony - On Friday 17 February 2017, parents, donors and staff officially 'broke the ground', marking the start of the works to build the new STEM Centre and Sporting Facility.
  • House Performing Arts Day 2017 - Students from the six School House groups took a dramatic turn in their quest for the house cup.
  • International Women's Day: Women in the Changing World of Work - To celebrate International Women's Day, in this week's assembly Community and Service Learning Prefect Hannah spoke about the background of International Women's Day. We were also joined by Guest Speaker Ms Rachael Beck, who delivered a powerful speech and performance.
  • Junior School Cross Country Carnival - Our Years 3 to 6 ran 3 km cross country through a muddy St Leonards park.
  • Junior School Grandparents' Day 2017 - Grandparents of Years K to 6 visited Wenona to enjoy special Assembly performances, followed by a tour of the Junior School and a picnic with their grandchildren in St Leonards Park.
  • Junior School Swimming Carnival 2017 - On Tuesday 14 February 2017, years 3 to 6 competed in the Junior School Swimming Carnival at Knox Aquatic Centre
  • Mother Daughter Breakfast - Mothers and daughters from our Years 3 to 6 spent the morning at Wenona celebrating motherhood over breakfast with special guest speaker, Larissa Davies.
  • Senior School Cross Country Carnival 2017 - We cheered on our Years 7 to 12 as they finished their 2 km run through St Leonards Park, running alongside some of our keen teachers.
  • The Fourth Annual STEM Car and Transportation Showcase - Wenona hosts its fourth annual STEM Car and Transportation showcase. Observing the cars and remote controlled airplanes, the girls were able to put their Physics, Design and Technology and Engineering lessons into practice.
  • Wenona Mentoring Program Launch - Last Thursday, Wenona launched its inaugural Mentoring Program to support alumnae in their early careers.
  • Year 11 Camp 2017 - A group of Year 11 students visited Bateman's Bay for three nights in the wilderness. Here's their journey of team building and adventure.
  • Year 7 Camp: Fathers and Daughters - Our Year 7 students have just returned from four days at Camp Somerset in Colo, NSW. On their final night, their fathers joined them to take part in their camp activities.
  • Year 9 Camp 2017 - Our Year 9 campers have returned from Kangaroo Valley. Here they spent five days filled with activities including hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding and mountain biking, to name a few.
